LEAN SIX SIGMA MASTER BLACK BELT CERTIFICATION
As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, you can lead and coach Lean Six Sigma Black Belts, or teach and certify your own Lean Six Sigma students and set up your own school. A Master Black Belt degree follows after a regular Black Belt degree. This trajectory involves private online coaching sessions and online examination by a commission. We offer two trajectories that both lead to the same Master Black Belt Degree:

Trajectory A: You get 8 online coaching sessions. On top of that, you review online study material. Trajectory A also comes with a complete set of slides that you can use for Lean Six Sigma training (without SSAA logo because you come up with your own brand name). Finally, there are 2 sessions with tips and ideas that help you set up your own business. This trajectory costs 1,999 USD.

Trajectory B: You get 2 online coaching sessions. The rest of the course is self study. This trajectory costs 499 USD.

Trajectory C: This is similar to trajectory A and costs 2,999 USD, but here you can opt for extras. For example, after a quality check, you can issue certificates jointly with us that would mention your school name and ours on the same certificate. You can indirectly get access to our accreditation and certification platform. This would be based on contractually agreed revenue sharing. Given our limited capacity, we only accept 3 candidates per registration period and there is a candidate selection process based on letters of motivation. Q: What are my options after becoming a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt?

A: As a SSAA approved Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, you can lead and coach regular Black Belts, or you can train and certify your own students in the field of Lean Six Sigma. You can do so under your own brand name which you are free to choose. Note: You may not use SSAA (Six Sigma Academy Amsterdam) as your institute's name.

Q: What is the duration of the course?

A: The pace depends on the candidate’s availability and effort, but we expect 1-3 months on average.

Q: What is the language?
​​​
A: The course language is English. Spanish, German and Dutch speaking tutors may be available upon request.

Q: How much online private coaching will I get?
​​​​​​
A: This depends on which trajectory you chose (A or B). Depending on your need, you will receive a total of 10 online private coaching sessions in trajectory A and C and 2 private online sessions in trajectory B. Each session is approximately 1-1.5 hour. The rest of the program is self-study of mostly written material.

Q: What is the cost?

A: We can’t offer this program at the rates that you are used to from us, because of the human resource requirement. We ask a fee of 1,999 USD for trajectory A, 499 USD for trajectory B and 2,999 USD for C. Candidates have to pay the amount in full prior to the start of the course by means of bank transfer.

Q: Is there a refund possibility.
​​​​​​
A: Up until 30 days after payment, we offer a 100% refund, assuming that no more than 1 coaching session is received.

Q: How do I apply for the program?
​​​​
A: We have limited number of trainers and as such can only accept 3 candidates per registration period for the time being. As such, we kindly ask candidates to apply by pasting their letters of motivation in the contact form below (as plain text).

Q: How does the examination look like?
​​​​
A: As a Master Black Belt you can supervise a project, coach others, but also train and certify candidates. These will be the skills that will be examined. During the trajectory, you construct a portfolio in cooperation with your assigned SSAA coach. In this portfolio you include little pieces of proof that you can run a full Lean Six Sigma project, that you can coach and that you can teach and examine in an effective and efficient way. For example, you may include short video lectures as proof of your teaching skills. The examination is then the appraisal of this portfolio by SSAA examiners during an online interview. For the time being, retakes are free of charge.

Q: How much do the study materials cost?

A: All the study materials needed will be provided to you free of extra charge.

Q: Can I issue certificates on behalf of SSAA and make use of the SSAA certification system and accreditation?
​​​​​​
A: If you as a SSAA approved Master Black Belt decide to issue certificates, you come up with your own institute name (not SSAA) and issue certificates based on that name independently from us. We are no longer involved in that process and all of the revenue is of course yours.

However, some may wish to issue certificates in partnership with SSAA and make use of the SSAA name, accreditation and certification infrastructure to issue certificates. In that case we need to clarify additional conditions, approve the content and exams and draft a contract for that purpose which of course also involves a form of revenue sharing.
